The ecolodge is located in Kpan Town, Marshall. The rooms/huts are built in traditional liberian style, so called 'palaver huts'. The huts have one double bed, shower, toilet. It can be quite hot in Liberia but you will have a fan and breeze from the sea.
The ecolodge are helping to protect the wildlife in Liberia and have established a Wildlife Sanctuary. Well worth a visit during your stay.

We travel in 4-wheel drive vehicles from Western Liberia to Northern Liberia. Along the road we stop to look and experience Liberia. We will drive through Marshall, Robertsport, Yekepa and Buchanan (note: might not be in this order)
In Buchanan we live in a cultural village where the houses are built in clay in traditional Liberian style (given it is open for the season) or we stay at a hotel. One day is planned for the beach. A visit to the market is usually appreciated, as is a visit to a school, it is of course voluntary to come along but it is usually a nice experience. Here you can also try paddling a traditional canoe on the St. John river. If you want to practice yoga at dawn, this is the perfect place. If everyone wants, we will go to Edina.
In Robertsport we live in fantastic lodges on the beach. Here we get to experience some of the world's finest surf beaches (check 'sliding Liberia' on youtube). Viewing the fishermen and their boats coming in is in itself an experience. If you want to learn how to surf, there are good instructors at a reasonable cost.
A couple of days we relax in the area around Kpan town, Marshall where we live in houses built as 'palaver huts', here we care about the environment, animals and nature. We enjoy long walks along beautiful beaches.
In Yekepa, we are staying at a guesthouse/hotel. There should be running water and air condition in each room. During the LAMCO era, Yekepa was a thriving town, in fact the only town at the time that had a 'stoplight'. In Yekepa we visit the old LAMCO area and the old mining area which today is a nature reserve. We get a guided tour by a local ranger around the reserve.
During the trip we will; have a guided tour in Monrovia, visit a fish smokery and Monkey Island, from about 100 meters distance you will see how the chimpanzees are fed. If time allows it is possible to cross a so-called 'monkey bridge', a suspension bridge in the traditional style.

Extreem Experience.
Expedition during 3 days and nights in the unexplored nationalpark SAPO. A professional guide is accompanying us for this tour.
This arrangement is for the really adventurous ones, when in SAPO you are really out on your own. In SAPO, one of the last rainforests kept untouched your will have a unique experience. And hopefully you could spot a mini hippo.
Upon arrival, we stay at a hotel close to the airport. On the way to SAPO, we sleep at guesthouses. The 3 night stay in SAPO, living in tents.
